Each year both residential and commercial buildings account for almost 40% of all energy-related carbon dioxide emissions globally.  As the global population grows and we begin to see the harmful effects of excessive energy use we must take action, now.

At Kokoro Haus we are determined to punch above our weight class to reduce our industry’s greenhouse gas emissions.  We pledge to be a “mission zero” company.  All our homes will be powered by 100% clean, green, renewable energy.  They will produce zero emissions, have a zero carbon footprint and generate near zero energy bills.

Here’s why it’s a big deal. We estimate our homes will yield up to 2.5 times the energy they require, which means they will feed 1.5 times the energy back into the national grid. So, instead of using energy our homes will be producing it. Instead of drawing energy from the grid, our homes will be supplying it. And, instead of increasing greenhouse gas emissions, our homes will be reducing it. How unimaginable is that! If the rest of the industry follows suit the climate positive impact could reach historic proportions.
